Petit Family Foundation Benefit Dim Sum/Wine Dinner

Forbidden City Bistro, Middletown, Nov. 18, 2015, 6 pm

Featuring Michel Rolland & Trifecta Wines

Forbidden City Bistro will host a Dim Sum wine dinner on Wednesday, November 18, 2015.

The dinner will feature the restaurant’s unique Asian cuisine paired with wines primarily from France’s Chateau La Tulipe, a winery featuring winemaker Michel Rolland.

Tickets are priced at $75 with one third of the ticket price donated to the Petit Family Foundation by Forbidden City Bistro, Trifecta Wines and Winam Wines.

Forbidden City Bistro will partner with Winam Wines, a boutique distributor from Farmington, CT that has supported the Petit Family Foundation since 2009. A silent and live auction will be conducted during the evening with all the proceeds donated to the Petit Family Foundation.

The evening will feature a special Forbidden City cocktail with a new vodka from Siberia—Husky Vodka and a new Oregon Vodka—AnestasiA—ranked one of the world’s top six by The Beverage Tasting Institute.

The reception will also feature Michel Rolland’s Chateau La Tulipe Merlot, Slurp Chardonnay and Slurp Cabernet Sauvignon, an emerging portfolio produced with Ilja Gort.  In addition, Chateau les Maurins Bordeaux Superior, another Winam imported wine associated with the Petit Family Foundation will be introduced.

A lithograph featuring Chateau La Tulipe’s labels and an image from the Petit Family Foundation will be introduced.  The combined image will be shown at restaurants, retailers and events statewide through 2016.  Forbidden City Bistro & Art Gallery is recognized as a center for not only food and wine but for its consistent support for the arts in the region.

Fifth Course:  Thai Purple Sticky Rice

Trifecta Pinot Noir, 2010 and Trifecta Cabernet Sauvignon, 2009
The Trifecta wines are extremely allocated (Trifecta Pinot Noir, 2010, 85 cases and Trifecta Cabernet Sauvignon, 2009, 350 cases) and are among the most acclaimed and coveted by collectors worldwide.

The Nyárády Family has been making wine since the early 1820’s in the north- western portion of Transylvania. In 1948, the once-beautiful 40-acre estate was seized by the communist Romanian government and destroyed. Today, the youngest generation of the Nyárády family has made the United States its home and resurrected this almost two-century-old family tradition in collaboration with a third generation California winemaker, Bill Ballentine.
